1. PAYMENT/FEES
Q1. How much are the fees?
🅰️ 1 Day (24 Hour) Plan:¥10,000 per bike (Delivery/Pick up fee included)
Rental are available for up to 3 continuous days.
Q2. How much is the extension fee? How will I be charged afterwards?
🅰️ If we receive your return notification after the scheduled return time, a late return fee of ¥10,000 per bike will be automatically applied.
If the return time is exceeded without prior notice, the extension fee will be charged to your registered credit card at a rate of ¥10,000 per 24-hour period until the bike is returned.
Q3. When will I be billed?
🅰️ Billing will begin from the time the reservation starts.
Q4. What credit cards do you accept?
🅰️ VISA, MASTER, AMEX, Diners, DISCOVER, JCB, and Union Pay credit cards are accepted.
Q5. Can I change my credit card information?
🅰️ You can re-register another credit card information only if the payment fails due to an error in the credit card information.
Q6. Can I pay in cash?
🅰️ We do not accept cash.
Q7. Is there a deposit required?
🅰️ We do not require a deposit; however, if any damage occurs due to intentional misuse or negligence, repair costs will be charged accordingly.
In the event of theft or loss of the bicycle, a replacement fee of ¥100,000 will apply.
2. HOW TO USE
Q1. How can I rent?
🅰️ How to Rent a Bicycle in 3 Easy Steps:
1. Start Your Order
Tap “Order Delivery” on the homepage or select “DELIVERY” from the menu.
2. Fill Out Your Reservation
On the booking page, choose your rental date (up to 3 months in advance, or as late as the day before), preferred delivery time (between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.), number of bikes, and any optional add-ons. Then enter your name, email, phone number, and delivery location (your hotel or accommodation).
3. Complete Payment
Finalize your booking by entering your credit card details and billing address.
※ On the day of your rental, you’ll receive a photo of your bicycle, delivery details, and the lock code via email from our Customer Support (info@tokyo-rental-bicycle.com) or WhatsApp.
Q2. How do I lock and unlock the bicycle during my rental?
🅰️ All bicycles come with a dial lock. To unlock, simply rotate the dial to the PIN code provided by our Customer Support team (you’ll receive this code on the day of your rental via email from info@tokyo-rental-bicycle.com or via WhatsApp).
Please remember: You are responsible for the bike while it is parked. In case of theft or towing, any related costs may be charged to you.
Q3. How do I return it?
🅰️ 1. Park the bike in the same location it was delivered.
2. Lock the bike using the chain lock (code: 81496).
3. Send to our Customer Support info@tokyo-rental-bicycle.com the following photos so that we can determine where it is parked:
・A photo of the parked rental bike(s)
・A screenshot of your location (using a map app)
If the return time is exceeded, it will be charged at this time.
Q4. I need to change the return location on the same day.
🅰️ We kindly ask that you do not change the return location without prior notice.
If you absolutely need to change the return location, please contact our Customer Support at 「info@tokyo-rental-bicycle.com」 or via WhatsAppat at least 2 hours before your scheduled return time for consultation.
Last-minute changes or unnotified changes to the return location will incur a fee of ¥5,000 per bike.
Q5. How can I return a bicycle outside the 23 wards of Tokyo?
🅰️ Please do not return the bike outside of Tokyo’s 23 wards.
If the bike is returned outside the designated area, the following fees will apply automatically:

3. BIKE RENTAL
Q1. What are the specifications and sizes of the bicycles?
🅰️ All rental bicycles are cross bikes.
Available models include:

Bikes are available for riders between 145 cm and 190 cm in height.
Please note: While we do our best to accommodate your preferences, your requested model may not be available due to current stock conditions.
Q2. Is a child seat provided?
🅰️ Yes, one child seat is available upon request. Please let us know in advance if you’d like to use it, as availability is limited.
Q3. Can children ride?
🅰️ Adult bicycles only.
Q4. Can children under 16 use the service alone?
🅰️ No, children under the age of 16 are not permitted to use the service on their own. A parent or legal guardian must provide consent and ensure proper supervision.
Q5. My saddle is too high, can I adjust it?
🅰️ Adjust by operating the lever attached to the base of the saddle.
Q6. Does the bicycle have a basket?
🅰️ No, our bicycles do not come with baskets. However, each bike is equipped with a frame bag and a drink holder for your convenience.
Q7. Is there anything I need to use the bicycle?
🅰️ Since all our rental bicycles are cross bikes, we recommend bringing a backpack or a bag you can carry on your back for convenience.
Additionally, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government is now making it effort-mandatory to wear a helmet when riding a bicycle. For your safety, we recommend ordering a helmet while riding.
A simple raincoat is also provided with each bicycle in case of rainy weather.
4. PRECAUTIONS
Q1. Is it mandatory by Japanese law to wear a helmet when riding a bicycle?

As of April 1, 2023, wearing a helmet has become “effort-mandatory” in Tokyo. Please ride safely and observe Japanese traffic rules and manners while riding.
Q2.Will my bike be stolen in Japan?
🅰️
Bike theft, unfortunately, does happen in Japan, especially with popular brands like ours. To prevent your rental bike from being stolen, always lock it securely, even if you’re just stepping away for a moment.
Please note: If your bike is stolen due to being unlocked, you may be charged the full replacement cost.
Q3. Is it safe to ride in the rain?

Yes, you can still ride our bikes in the rain.
We provide a raincoat inside the frame bag for your convenience.
Please do not use an umbrella while riding, as this can be dangerous and impact your ability to control the bike.
Q4. Is there a phone holder on the bike?

Yes, each bike comes with a phone holder attached to the handlebars.
It’s designed to fit most smartphones, accommodating sizes from 4.5 to 7 inches.
This means you can easily use your map app and navigate while enjoying your ride.
Q5. Why did I get an AirTag notification?
🅰️
You might have received a notification stating, “The owner of this AirTag can now see your current location.”
Don’t worry, this is just because our bicycles are equipped with Apple AirTags to help us locate them if they get lost or stolen.
We can’t see your location while you’re renting the bike. The AirTag’s primary purpose is for recovery in case of loss or theft after the rental period.
5. TROUBLESHOOTING
Q1. My bike isn't at the delivery address. What should I do?
🅰️ If you’re at your delivery address at the scheduled time but don’t see your bicycle, please send us an email right away.
To help us locate it quickly, include a photo of the delivery address and any specific location details that might be helpful.
We’ll do our best to find your bike or check the delivery situation as soon as possible!
Q2.I am concerned that the bicycles are being returned properly.
🅰️ If you have sent the location of the return location and a photo with the bicycle in it by e-mail, the return is complete.
Q3. The bike I am using has been stolen when I parked it.
🅰️ Please contact Customer Support info@tokyo-rental-bicycle.com first. We will discuss a solution together.
If the bicycle is ultimately not found, the full replacement cost of ¥100,000 will be charged.
Q4. My bike was removed while I was using It
🅰️ If your rental bike was removed while you were using it, please contact Customer Support immediately at「info@tokyo-rental-bicycle.com」. We’ll work with you to find a solution.
Please note: If your bike is removed , a towing fee of ¥10,000 will be charged.
Q5. I had an accident while using the service.
🅰️ Please call 110 or 119 first for proper handling of the situation. After that, please contact Customer Support info@tokyo-rental-bicycle.com.
Q6. My bicycle has a flat tire. What should I do?
🅰️ If you get a flat tire, your first step should be to use Google Maps to find the nearest bicycle shop. Most shops in the Shibuya area, and throughout Tokyo, can repair a flat tire for approximately ¥2,000 to ¥3,000 JPY.
Q7. The bike I tried to rent isn't inflated.
🅰️ We apologize for the inconvenience. We always inspect our bicycles before renting them out, but in the unlikely event that you find one that is not inflated, please go to your local bicycle shop or police station to borrow an inflator.
Q8 .I damaged my bicycle while using the service.
🅰️ If you’re unable to ride the bicycle, please park it safely at your accommodation or in a nearby bicycle parking lot.
Please note: If the bike sustains crucial damage, a reparation fee of ¥30,000 will be charged.
6. ABOUT TOUR
Q1. Do I need to make a reservation?
🅰️ Yes, please make a reservation on our website!
Q2. Is it okay if I don’t speak any Japanese?
🅰️ Yes, we have fluent English speaking tour guides!
Q3. Can I join the tour even if I am alone?
🅰️ Yes, of course!
Q4. Do you cancel the tour if it’s raining?
🅰️ No, we will do the tour!
We will have raincoats ready for you
In case of heavy rain there is a possibility that we cancel the tour. We will contact you the day before the tour if we do cancel.
Q5. What is your cancellation policy?
🅰️ Free cancellation if you contact us 24 hour before the departure time.
If notice of cancellation is received from us 1 day prior to the tour date, on the day of the tour, or in case of failure to show by departure time: 100% of the tour fee is refunded.
* In case you want to cancel due to rain on the tour date, we will charge you same cancellation fee as above. (we usually organize the tour if the rain is not too heavy.
** In case of heavy rain, it is free to change the tour date if there is availability on your desired date. (we will reach out to you before the tour date or please contact us before the tour date)
** When we judge it’s dangerous to do the cycling tour (strong wind, heavy snow, severe typhoon, disaster, etc.) we will let you know by 8:00PM the day before the tour. In this case, we will not charge you cancellation fee.
Q6. How many days in advance can you book?
🅰️ You can make your reservation 1 year in advance!
Q7. How do I pay for the tour?
🅰️ Please pay with your credit card on our website (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
Q8. Can I join with a child?
🅰️ Yes! As long as your child can ride a bike properly. If too young, we provide child seat (only 1) attachable to our cross bike (not electric).
Q9. What kind of Bicycles do you provide?
🅰️ We mainly provide high quality cross bikes from Bianchi and Fuji.
